Regional WOP Vietnam

Water utility Dawaco in Da Nang (Vietnam) has concluded a regional WOP with the water utilities in Quang Tri and NgeAnh. Employees of the two water utilities spent a week in Da Nang to learn from Dawaco’s experience as far as reduction of non-revenue water is concerned. Theory and practice were discussed with the employees during special lessons. Vitens Evides International is acting as a mentor in this WOP, in this way helping Dawaco support the two water utilities.
 
The Quang Tri en NgeAnh water utilities were given the job of isolating areas for taking measurements. Employees from the Central Control unit and the leakage detection team from Da Nang travelled to Quang Tri and NgeAnh and together they conducted pilots for the reduction of non-revenue water. During this exercise, the Da Nang water utility’s methodology was copied and applied in the two cities. In both Quang Tri and NgeAnh leaks were found and remedied, saving enormous amounts of water.
