Vitens Evides International signs up for new project in Suriname

Vitens Evides International signed a Technical Assistance Contract with Surinamese water supply company NV Surinaamsche Waterleiding Maatschappij (SWM) on 13 August 2009. Under the contract Vitens Evides International will support SWM in preparing and carrying out an investment programme of approximately €14.5 million in the Greater-Paramaribo district. The programme includes drilling 13 new wells and rehabilitating and expanding seven pumping stations.
 
A Vitens Evides International team is already involved in completing a similar investment programme in Suriname. The same team will be among those working on the new project. The Technical Assistance Contract is worth €325,000 to Vitens-Evides International. The project is expected to be completed year-end 2010.
